Here are some of the early pics of the guitar that show it
with an unlogoed neck and blank plate. I think they put a Charvel plate on it when they changed the neck?







What puzzles me though is that if the serial was 10xx and Chris first was in contact with Jackson/Charvel in 1983 he might have bought the neck somewhere before his endorsement deal. The first time he publicly played a Jackson was in the movie Dungeon Master and it was an 83 black string-thru rhoads with brass HW.
