Re: Who created the \"Jackson\" logo?

I heard that he didn't put Charvel on Rhoads' Concorde because it simply was too pointy for a Charvel.

He was afraid of putting Charvel on there cause Grover feared that Charvel's reputation would be ruined if Rhoads sucked.

Yeah I dont think there was a question of Randy's ability, but a question of accepting the radical design.

I've read that he used his name because the guitar's neck through design deviated from the standard Charvel bolt ons.

it was Stonewall who designed the logo back in the 1800's, it was the first fiddle to have a whammy bar that had a locking tremolo on it. while designing the logo however, the union came storming down and ended the civil war during this logo design timeline. there's lots of history in jackson guitars.

the polka dot guitar isn't a Jackson. It is a Sandoval.

I´ve read that this was the main reason too.

                          And to you who asked:
Concorde was the name Randy wanted for the Rhoads model.
The pointy headstock is inspired from the nose on the Concorde airplane.
After Randys death the model was named Randy Rhoads as he never lived to see the model in production.
