• Warmoth: "We Need Your Jackson brand Neck"

I did a search and didn't see any postings on this yet....Warmoth is asking to borrow a DK-1 and DK-2 neck to study. Sounds interesting!:

Might be worth it for the discount if you have a DK-1 or 2 just sitting around

Re: Warmoth: \"We Need Your Jackson brand Neck\"

There WAS a thread a few weeks back regarding a Warmoth staff member (Gregg) joining the forum and asking for our opinions and neck pocket measurements. Strangely enough, the topic doesn't exist any more.

If you would like it returned?!?!

25% discount on a neck is all they're offering for you to loan them a neck off of a USA Jackson? I wonder if they're offering to pick up the shipping?

They make licensed Fender stuff....Fender owns Jackson...why can't they get one from them?

Licensing doesn't mean they're butt-buddies - Warmoth still has to buy OPP

Too bad I don't have a spare neck for The Halford

Sure, Newc, I'm sure everyone wants a warmoth neck with rhinestone inlays.

Actually it's just a maple/maple JTX neck with a modded heel to fit a regular Jackson pocket - thinnest neck Jackson ever made for an import, and will smoke anything around in terms of playability

If it only had ebony fins, natural headstock, and black binding

Re: Warmoth: \"We Need Your Jackson brand Neck\"

Anybody sending one in?
I'm thinking of sending my DK2 neck. I don't use it much and always wanted one with ebony and mop fins.

Anybody have a SD Charvel neck they can part with for awhile?

While Warmoth makes killer ebony/maple necks (one of their 3a birdseye maple necks with macassar ebony looks just phenomonal and plays like a dream) they don't generally use real MOP for inlays if that matters to you. So if you turn in the Dinky and decide down the road to get a replacement in the manner you describe you will probably have to pay an additional upcharge more than the flat 70.00 to get genuine MOP, if that even matters to you

I'd do it if I had a Dinky neck to turn in. The neck I was planning on to replace my Mighty Mite I currently have on my Warmoth I estimated at 550 (including the price of the locking tuners), so that would be a nice discount .

No upcharge, they simply will NOT do genuine MOP, I asked them plenty of times!

I'm actually more intrested in the ebony.
I can't stand the light rosewood on that dinky neck. Maybe if it were darker, but nah.
