• Custom shop Generator Request

I know it takes time to make the Mockup's for the jcf generator, but would it be possible to make some models have a 7 string version/option? like the RR warrior and KV maybe?

I'm just wondering if this is on the Card's? especially after COW's got a 7 string sig....

    Re: Custom shop Generator Request

I don't see this happening unless a major guitar manufacturer would throw a heap of $$$ at me.

I would basically have to design new headstocks, necks, pickups, bridges, and possibly alter some of the inlays. And then there would be a lot of changes to the source code as well.

I have some super-cool new features in mind for the next release, but unfortunately, 7 string models are not among them.

Ozzuk1, make your guitar in the generator, save the image and send it to me. Ill convert the image to a 7 string for you. This also goes for anyone else that wants it done.

        Re: Custom shop Generator Request

Sometimes a change that looks simple to the user is very complex and time consuming for the programmer/designer. Adding the 7th string to the generator is a good example.

I've been using the generator as a starting point and I have used Photoshop for details/options that are not supported. Alex has done an amazing job on the generator. I wonder how many here have ordered a custom cause they came up with an idea on the generator...

              Re: Custom shop Generator Request

The generator is awesome just for getting a feel for what you want. Some things you just can't mock up well. Custom burst finishes I don't think you could really mock up without a lot of extra programming. But I have 3 requests, if they happen it would be cool, if not it matters not. I'd love to see generator bodies for the Death Angel, Kelly Star and Roswellian Star. Beyond that I think the generator does most anything one can ask of it. Though if its possible to make it so you can change the transparent colors with the color adjuster rather than just using preset colors that would be freaking awesome. Some people have asked about headstocks to match the body but I think that might be hard to do, would certainly be cool though. Regardless what is already there is a huge asset to those of us getting a custom shop guitar. I know I used it extensively to fine tune the basic look of my custom. Thanks for all your work man! 1) More shapes are possible along those lines; I would like to do a Roswellian Star. I messeda round with the Death Angel, didn't quite nail it, and went with the Death Kelly instead. A Kelly Star would be easy.

                2) Tried doing a transparent color color adjuster over woodgrain, and it just looked crappy. After much debate, I went with preselected colors that looked great, instead of unlimited colors that all sucked.

                3) More headstock finish options (natural finishes, graphics) will be in the next release.

                  Re: Custom shop Generator Request

Hey hey. 1st off I want to say thanks for the CS Generator. It actully helped in my CS order. Thanks a million. Next if we are humbly asking for some things-I have 2 requests. Colored binding (green the most) and the Demon shape. This may be my next CS order and I would like to mock one up.

Any chance for an XTRR body overlay?

It's possible; provided I can dig up the thread that compares body sizes.

+1! I asked about that on another thread.

7/8 size of normal rhoads body is a rough estimation although I think the proportions are a bit different too. The top wing is shortened more. There's the production XTRR shape and the earlier dinky RRs which I believe are pointier. I'd be happy with either.
