The Jackson site looks good, and has actually improved since FMIC took over, with the Custom Shop pics (which have really re-ignited my dream of getting a JCS guitar), but it could still use some improvements.

One item that is a "must" IMO is to have a hi-res pic of EVERY model, with a color swatch of every available color for that model, which you can mouse over, displaying a pic of that model guitar in that color. Car sites have had this for years. ESP's site has this, and it's a great idea, which really inspires G.A.S.

Another good idea, that would be easy to implement, is to add "More Info" links to the Custom Shop quote form, with descriptions and pics, where useful, of custom items (e.g., Neck Description: San Dimas Style vs. Jackson Style).

And, they should have a huge gallery of Custom Shop guitars for virtually anyone who buys a Jackson Custom Shop and wants it posted in the gallery. This would: 1. make customers happy; 2. inspire brand loyalty; 3. increase brand recognition; 4. cause severe G.A.S. and, consequently, new customers; and 5. make me personally very, very happy.

Overall, I think that Jackson should play up the fact that they are running a Made In USA Custom Shop. Again, they are already doing this to some extent with the new pics and JCS focus of the web site, and I think that's great.

I also think they should pump up the CS... I mean shit. That opperation is so supperior to everything else that Fender moved its CS there in order to make thiers better.

i'm all for having the correct info on there, but one thing that i really applaud is the regular stream of custom shop pix. that, to me, is really, really cool.

Agreed. Definitely nice to see some new content every now and then. And yes, the overall look of the new page is miles ahead of the old one! [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
