  • Double V Model

Anybody here have or have played a Jackson VV model? It was designed originally years ago for former KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent - modeled after the Rhoads.

Any guesses on ballpark figures for the cost of this to be custom built from the Jackson custom shop - $2500, $3000, $3500, $4000+?

That depends on your specs - If you want a really basic version, take the price for the neck-thru guitar ($3420) and add the non-standard bodyshape ($240). If you want something more representitive of Vinnie's originals, then sharkfins, floyds etc all add to the cost, and I'd imagine the 2 tone paint will add a few bucks as well.

Obviously, those prices are full retail, so talk to one of the dealers active here for actual pricing.....

There is one currently nearly completion at the custom shop, may have been shipped already. Its in the gallery page on the website. Cracked Mirror Double V with abalone cross inlays. Looks sweet.

            Re: Double V Model

Drew's (in the gallery) is one from the originals (20-30) made in the late 80's early 90's....Brad K's (in the gallery) was made in the mid-late 90's, and there's another one on the board that's purple with a rosewood board that's from the late 80's/early 90's as well. The one on the Jackson site was made for Brett who also owns a glow in the dark snakeskin one whose body design is a little different than the std. VVV's.

That one on the jackson site is killer, I'm a sucker for mirror finishes but it suits the guitar really well.
