• A Couple Questions.

Hi, the name's Matt.
I've been playing guitar for awhile now and I feel I need an upgrade from what I'm currently playing, which is probably a guitar that would make most of you guys cringe (if not feel slightly ill) so I searched around for awhile and one day at my local music shop I found Jackson and it was good, but then I looked at the price tag and it was not.
I would like to get a special kind of Jackson (or not really special but I haven't seen a Jackson with the exact configuration I'm looking for) so I suppose I'd have to specially order one, right? My local musical instrument merchant is insanely overpriced and after all the research I've done if I wanted to special order a guitar I'd have to get it from them, which would set me back alot more money then should be paid.
How do I get what I want?

Re: A Couple Questions.

Try one of the online dealers here, great people and great prices.
Contact them and they´ll help you out.
After joining JCF you´ll soon enough find out that you will spend more money on guitars than you´ll like to admit though. This is GAS place #1.

Thanks, but are these online dealers 100% trustworthy?

Yes, they are.
If they weren't, word would spread quickly around here, which wouldn't be good at all for their business.

Just ask Matt (Matt's Music Center, Banner see above), or Matt (Onlinestagegear), or Scott (vwallguitars)... lol, there's another two Matts.

Alright, that sounds great!
I have just one more question; is there a guitar like a DXMG Dinky except with a regular head and a crimson swirl paint job or would I have to special order that?
Because the DXMG is basically what I want except I hate the paint job (it's just too bland, I'd prefer the afformentioned crimson swirl or ferrari red with black bevels) and I hate reverse head stocks.

Re: A Couple Questions.

The DK-2 in Crimson Swirl is closest, but that has H-S-S.
EMGs, of course, are easy enough to buy and install in place of the stock pickups in the DK-2, and if you wanted to add the AfterBurner, just drill a new hole using a 3/8" Forstner bit, or swap out the Tone knob.

The DKMG come in different finishes like forest green, some kind of swirl (cant remember if eds, crimson, or silver). It is the same as a DXMG except has afterburner (gain boost) control & the inlays are pirahna instead of sharkfin.

oops, forgot it has reverse headstock which you said you dont like. So then Newc's statement of the DK2 is the closest (has the h-s-s pickup configuration). You could always install SD humbucker like little 59 & such in neck position.

Re: A Couple Questions.

Those are all good ideas, but I found the KE3 and although it's a different shape it looks like it's what I want.
I've played kellys before and they are very comfortable to sit with and stand.

My local establishment is called "N-Tune Music".
It's not too far from my house, anyway these guys charge out the ass when it comes to......actually anything.
You better be rich or incredibly stupid to buy something from there.
