"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.
41 with 3 girls. Here's my Jackson/Charvel inventory:
Jackson:
JCF-01, JCF-02, CS 7 string Dinky although I don't like playing JCF-01/02 because I feel like I'm going to ding them.
Charvel:
Model 6, Model 4, San Dimas Star, EVH Art Series (RW&B)
I also have a few Gibsons, a Peavey Wolfgang, a lot of basses, a Fender Kurt Cobain (it's a 24" scale that I use for teaching my daughter), and a Dean Michael Schenker V LTD which I unfortunatley don't play for the same reasons as above.
I'm glad I had the experience with the JCFs and the Dean because I now know that I'd rather have a vintage axe that has mojo + battle scars that I'm not afraid to play. Not to say that they aren't GREAT guitars because they are. I know I'm weird...YMMV.
Well, Here goes......! I think I must be the oldest fart among all of you....53! When I was in a teenager, my guitar teacher told me about "vintage guitars" like old strats, broadcasters, esquires, les pauls, etc....so I quickly found that the way to get into rock shows without a ticket was by bringing one of these "vintage guitars" with me to sell to the "rock star"! By 1970 I had sold a guitar to every major guitarist...all of them! By my late 20's I worked in the entertainment industry (as an executive -ha!)and had more dollars than sense - and decided to buy a guitar a week - but never paid more than $200.00 for it! After seven years I had over 260 guitars...lots of everything and lots of crap! Then I went into littigation with Survivor and had to sell off my entire collection! I can to realize that the best guitars are those that get used, that get played...not the ones on someone's wall (hear that jimmy)! I only have as many guitars as I can play (which seems to be about 12) So....although I do not have any Jacksons....I am looking forward to finding the right solist!....But I do have a few Charvel-Jacksons! Here is what I have:
1. cream '86 c-j Model 2
2. cream '86 c-j Model 3
3. black c-j Model 7 (tele body)
4. Charvel Fusion
5. Fender Squire II
6. '85 Fender Bullet
7. Blue Performance
8. White Richalue neck-thru
9. Yamaha clasical accustic
10. Kay/Sears accustic
11. Yamaha steel string accustic
12. '38 Dobro
