The way I see it as a non American, it's just a useless piece of text that I think has no purpose on the T shirt, that's it. You take pride of it, good for you, I take pride in playing them because I CHOSE them, not because of some coincidence you were born or moved in the same country as where they're being produced. I just don't understand this feeling of personal pride for this. I'm just proud of the guitar.
Maybe most other non Americans don't care. I'm just saying my impressions of the T shirt, that's it.

With all due respect, it seems like you may be walking a fine "anti-American" line here. Not trying to stir a s**tpot, here. But, reading between the lines, it seems like what you may be implying.

i don't think that he's intentionally trying to be offensive in what he's saying, really, although it doesn't come across that way.

pott, i would just file this under something that you don't understand. you don't have to understand it, really, but charvel is an american company, and the whole "made in usa" thing is something that we take pride in.

you don't have to understand it, just accept that is the way that it is over here. i would think that your country puts out products that you enjoy and take a bit of pride in that. no?

I like them, good idea.Maybe they can get thier shirts into retail stores like jc pennys like fender does.

I already have a black shirt with a white charvel logo and i also have a bootleg that peendemark sold me that has the small gold logo over the left breast and a large gold logo on the back.It is my lucky shirt. Designs on the back are useless for me since my hair will cover 90% of it.

Good for these guys taking a shot.

They were going for a 70's retro look and they nailed it on the 1st two,#2 being my favorite.

None of the designs do it for me, especially the bike and van. Toby's suggestions are much better. If you have to go with some cartoon imagery, then go with something with hotrod flames or burning rubber. These are suppose to be tricked out shred machines of the guitar world.

Good point about the Made in China T shirt haha... I guess that irony makes up for it. If I ever come across the muscle car T shirt and it's at a decent price, I'd jump on it.
And no, I didn't say it as anti Americanism. I'm just saying that for us non American, this whole 'Made in USA' written that big is just pointless and weird. Or at least that's how I see it. They still look cool mind you. Sorry for hijacking the thread admins [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I'm not sure why you think the made in USA is "so big"? As compared to the actual guitar logo, it looks fairly proportional to my eyes. It's not obnoxiously large, by any means.

And the shirts are intended to promote the current (USA) Charvel line, no? So, IMHO, it's neither "pointless" nor "weird". It's right on, and reflects the guitar line's actual logo. (...Since you only own imports, maybe you don't realize that "Made in USA" actually appears in the Charvel logo? [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img])

That's the reason why it seems so big to me, I don't really know how the logo is on USA models.
