Re: More From Mike Learn

Who is the customer in this case, the dealer? I can see some people being nervous about displaying the swastika as it carries such a stigma.

Great work Mike, as always!

I liked it the other way. Just more authentic. Everything has to be so pc these days.

I thought the authenticity was more important as well. I liked it the other way. But, Jackson writes the checks.
I just paint.I thought it was strange that the Kevin Bond Pentagram inlay was acceptable to be honest. I don't ask too many questions. I do what I am told.

yeah, but i guess the pentagram doesnt remind people of 6million dead jews. So i can understand, to a point. But if you dont remember terrible things, you cant prevent them from happening again.

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, but in this case, the 4 or 5 swastikas represented 4 or 5 dead (shot down) Nazi pilots. They were kill markings.

"Alex, don't hold anything back man. :o) Personal tastes are all different."
Certainly I just expressed my opinion, as we all do here. Hope I did not offend anybody.
So here is an idea then, I really liked what Ibanez did with the J-custom RG-ART or Petricci's 90HAM model - art on the flame maple wood. Or some of the J-custom PAINT series guitars. They just did in a more subtle, in a way cultured way and raised a bar for me. In my opinion Jackson could do at least as good.
On the other hand, if I come accross a good condition ninetees Saturn graphics, I'll pick it up too
Cheers,
Alex
