New member, long-time Jackson fan & owner

In the short time I've been looking around these boards, this seems like a great place for info. and some laughs - glad to be here. A bit about me : my first Jackson was a USA King V in 92 or 93, followed by a couple import Kellys, a Cherry-burst Mustaine sig. V, and finally my korina Mustaine KV1... sadly, very sadly, all sold over time. At some point I just decided I was done with guitar and let them all go, albeit not all at once. Last year I got back into playing and bought a Schecter S-1 Elite, which is a fine guitar, but I just can't shake the Jackson habit. The RR5 is looking really good to me and after getting re-acquainted with the Jackson neck-through feel on a Soloist at a store the other day, I'm sold. Oh yeah, and that custom shop generator is already responsible for the loss of a couple thousand in future inheritance money...

Hey, thanks for all the welcomes. I'm just making good use of the search function right now before asking questions you've all seen or answered a dozen times. As for the Jackson/Charvel addiction, I don't have a problem... I can quit anytime I want... I just don't want to right now... [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

price can vary depending on wood, hardware, etc....but I believe any where around $2,500.00+ for a custom made jackson

Treefitty. welcome, valkomen, aloha, etc... This is a great place to learn about jackson charvel, and on occasion politics and religion. LOL we sometimes forget this is a guitar forum and well go offo na tangent about something or another. But heyit's all in fun and as long as you abide by the TOS you r still here wilbe long and fruitful. (btw im too lazy today to hit the shift button so :P)

Welcome TreeFitty! [img]/images/graemlins/toast.gif[/img] Maybe try a USA Select instead of a custom for your first foray back into Jackson guitars. They are alot easier on the wallet. Used, they can be had very reasonably.
