I also vote for the rings. Any thought of trying to put in a single-coil pickup in the middle, to make it ever more like Jason's guitar?Takeoffs are optional but landings are mandatory.Comment

It's only a prototype. It was supposed to go into production as a tribute to Jason with the idea of Jackson donating some of the profits to the ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) organization.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.Comment

my guess is b/c he wasn't a jackson player. he's amazing, and his story is awful, but he wasn't a jackson player. that's not to say that he wouldn't have been if he never got sick, but it's not unlike gibson putting out a leo fender tribute. well, okay, i blew it a little bit outta proportion, but there ya go.
what's interesting is that the proto that McD had was a jackson, while this one is a charvel. odd, eh?
still a very cool guitar, and i think what you've done with it is cool, tim!

I'm kinda surprised that Peavey never put it out as either a sig model, or a tribute. I realize it's not JCF, but it would still be a cool thing for them to do, with proceeds going to an ALS fund or something....Comment
