Everybody wants to say that, but In my opinion, ESP took body shapes and sold guitars with the improvments that people wanted so the guitars sold like no other and then compainies (Jackson/Gibson) got pissed off and revolted. I owned a lawsuit ESP explorer, before gibson sued ESP, and now after that happened the demand for those things went threw the roof. without the pickguard, pickup change, and new control layout everyone liked them. The build quality of the ESP explorer compaired to the Gibson Explorer is incredible. The Gibson EXP's quality is equvilent to LTD EXP. Then you have Jackson with the whole ESP SV/RV and the RR. IMO the SV/RV is cooler.

Now i seemed to catch someone here were I live that owned a ESP RV-350AL (Alexi Lahio Model "Custom Shop")and without a doubt BEST guitar i have EVER played. my RR1 and a handful of Jackson CUSTOM SHOPS that i have played couldnt even come close to them. thats out of dead honesty.

To get the point threw, yes ESP stole many body shapes, but they improved on them in specs which in turn sold more, and alot of people started to buy them.

I have had my ESP MIII for about five years now and I always thought it was awesome. Then a few months ago I tried a USA Jackson Soloist and I realized my ESP isn't even in the same league as the Jackson. I still think my ESP is a great instrument but I realize now ESP's are over-rated. Before I tried the soloist I had been looking really closely at getting another ESP but now I'm going to get a Jackson.

Also, I don't agree that when you mention Jackson on the ESP board that they love them. I think the opposite is true. I've been a member there longer than here and I find if you mention any other brand than ESP the militant 18 year-olds flame you.

You jokeing? if the thread when i first got my RR was still there i would show you all the great responses, that board may have some teens on there that flame you for everything, but the popel there know when they see a good guitar despite the brand.

And Jackson did not INvent all there body shapes they took other classics and morfed them with points thats all.

and please compair the artists that signed to each company. IMO ESP's are better. if any of you played a CUSTOM SHOP and a CUSTOM SHOP Jackson and then came back to me and tell me honestlyJAckson is better. That would be a lie

I own a Jackson and i love it but its nothing comapried to a SV/RV.
