This sounds horrible, but I'm braced to see what comes out of the woodwork! I worst I can remember seeing on here was that GX Roadhouse Yellow soloist (and some others) that was in a house fire - the poor guy lost everything from what I remember.....

Yeah, that was bad. We all pitched in and bought him a new Jackson. Has he been back here though?

Here's a few "good" ones:

I glued it back and it held until UPS got it again, and it broke in the same place.
That one is where I found out that Pros have painted headstock faces instead of the black plastic caps on USA models.

[/ QUOTE ] I got to speak with Tim tonight. We chatted for about 45 minutes. He has been real busy for the last 2 years. 14 hours/7 days a week. He said he has only had 4 days off in the last 2 years. Just now got his furniture this week.

He told me that he comes here whenever he can to read and learn. He only has webtv so sometimes he can't open links and such in our posts.

He is a real tube tone guru. He was throwing out tube names and what goes where. All I know is how to turn it on and get it off standby.

He said he would like to participate and come and say thanks, but is really hesitant because of the circumstances surrounding the "fire fund" and all that business. He just feels like it will stir some kind of hornet's nest.

I told him he shouldn't feel funny because he didn't ask for anything. I tried to get him to come by, maybe he will.

He said he loves this place and the people and is very grateful for what some of us did. He said that the guitar has kept him from going off the deep end many times.

I can understand that he would feel funny.
Tell him to do whatever he feels comfortable with, and that he dosen't owe us anything. He hasn't got to say a word if he's uncomfortable doing so. Just take care and keep playing.

Re: post some pics of the worst damaged Jacksons

I didn't capture pictures, but the worst damage was my wife beating up a guitar body with a brand new neck.
I was in the middle of building a new Jackson from parts and I really pissed her off.
So she got me back by destroying the guitar.
Nothing, and I mean nothing, was usable... even the tuners were trashed.
Yes I deserved it, but she did eventualy replace the guitar with one that is 10x nicer.
I guess I was being a real prick that day.

Just imagine walking into a room and seeing a 5' 2" woman, pissed to know end, beating the shit out of a Dinky body with the pointy end of a reverse headstock neck.
I was afraid.
