I would strongly advise against pumping that much cash into what is essentially an importguitar...
[/ QUOTE ] I agree. I pumped about $750 into a model 6. It is awesome, but it is still a model 6 and I am stuck with it because I will never get even close to my money back. It sits mostly unplayed and pristine.Scott

As the other guys said, these modifications will cost some major cash.
You should be damn sure that you'll hold on to the guitar, because resale value won't be anything near what you put into it.
That said, a great guitar is a great guitar whether it is an import or not. So if your WRMG is a great guitar and you want to make it special and unique, go ahead!
BTW, I don't know any custom shops in the UK...

Speaking from experience, only invest in expensive modifications if you are generally happy with the guitar and plan to keep it for a long time to come. I have spent hundreds of dollars on import Jacksons, and it has been worth it because they are guitars that I enjoy playing and have no intention of parting with.
I would rethink the inlay idea if I were you. The way that the current (small) inlays are placed, putting in a sharkfin will mean filling in the gap from the inlay on the opposite side. I'd suggest a block inlay or split block (flipped sharkfins), like a larger version of this:
