Im a fucking slob. I got 46 guitars in just about every room of the house, guitar cables hanging off of lamp shades, guitar shipping boxes in the kitchen, on the treadmill. Hell I have one shipping box that has been sitting in the living room for about 3 weeks. Can you tell I live alone?.........

Mine are all in cases except my one acoustic. 2 in the living room, 7 in the upstairs hallway and 5 in the bedroom. 5150 head and 2x12 cab in the bedroom too. Oh, I have to hear about it every once in a while. I usually just say, "Yeah, I should get rid of some of this stuff, right?" Yeah...right.

I have my own guitar/computer room where I play and record but I have three guitars in the living room also. Currently the Chris Holmes zebra rhoads and two silver custom KVs. My family doesn't mind as long as the guitars match the color scheme of the living room.

We have a daylight, live-in basement that is all mine. I have my home office in one section and a den in the other, where my guitars all hang on the wall. There is also a big screen tv and leather couch where I watch the Bruins. There is an unfinished section of the basement as well where I have a workbench for guitar repair/maintenance. It all works great- I can basically go down there and make all the noise I want and it doesn't bother Mrs. Poon at all.

Re: Who is permitted to have their gear in plain v

I have gear strewn throughout the house, but I mostly play in the upstairs computer room. I try to give my wife her space so she study for law school in relative peace. She likes it when I'm making musical noise, though, so that's good.

Re: Who is permitted to have their gear in plain v

Keith's gear is waaaay bigger than mine.... so he certainly can't complain.

Wait... that didn't come out right.
What I mean is he has pianos!

I keep most of my stuff in the studio anyway, though the acoustics usually stay out in the great room with Keith's baby so we can jam and do shows for friends.

i had a wife who hated every last thing about guitars, and she hopes i die in a fiery car crash to this very moment.
the biggest mistake in my life was her. now i have nothing.

i've got my stuff in my room but i don't hang up my guitar, just becuase i think its asking for an accident. i simply keep it in its hard case nice and safe but my amp is in plain view and my guitar could be if i wanted it to be.

Re: Who is permitted to have their gear in plain v

I'm single w/ no kids and my own house. So I always have at least 3 guitars on stands right in the living room. The rest are in cases against the walls. My amp rigs (Marshall/Soldano half stack and Roland Cube 30) are also right in there ready to go. I'm also a slob like Accept2
