"Kaler" is the way I say it. Man, this reminds me of the kids in school...and the people at work. "How the hell do you pronounce your name?" I swear I've been questioned so many times that I don't even know the "actual" way to say my name anymore because I've been trying to explain it since grade school. I've gotten Ear-Fan, Ir-Fan, Ir-faun, Ear-faun....I think at one point I was so tired of explaining it (at age 8, that's how long I've been doing this) I told people to call me Jack [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I've always pronounced it Shar-vel. But I doubted it once when I saw one of Wayne's web videos, where he seemed to pronounce his own name as Char-vel. (As in char-broiled.) [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]

Oh just some know it all kid I had never seen there before, tried to impress me with his expertise on everything, actually, he was saying Carvel, and I told him that the correct way was Sharvel, but I thought that Wayne went by Char vel, but to tell the truth I wasn't sure thats why I posted this. The correct pronounciation for Shaller would probably be like "Shuller", since it's a German company (I studied German for five years during high-school, but it's almost all lost to me now...). [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

All right, how about Ovangkol? (wood used for the back & sides of the Taylor 414ce). I say Oh-VAHN-kl, but a sales guy said it's OH-ven-kall.

I'd like to just buy a 714ce, since I can say Rosewood just fine, but coming up with the extra grand is even harder than pronouncing Ovangkol. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
