Hey guys, I recently bought from a private owner a Black King V Pro Dave Mustaine Neckthru guitar. Serial number is J401170. I have never seen this model of King V, and I have many questions that maybe some of Jackson fans can answer! First off, are the King V Pro Dave Mustaine signatures USA's or not? This is a Neckthru guitar, and all the Jackson neckthru's I've seen have been USA's. Also, this guitar is in very good condition, how much would you guys say its worth?? How much did they list for?? Any info would be very much appreciated, because I can't seem to find any info about this make and model. Its a killer guitar by the way, I also own a red RR1 serial number RR1597, and the King V Pro although not as fast action, has a beefier tone. Good guitars, Jackson rules!

Re: HELP! Questions about my Jackson I just bought!
No, it says exactly "King V Pro" on the headstock, and it has Dave Mustaine's signature on it. Professionals are Neckthru are they? This guitar is definitely a neckthru
I was looking at Jacksons website and found a picture of the EXACT guitar I have, in every way.
Anyone know about these????
Ok, the picture didn't work, but if you click this link Very bottom right, the black KV And look at the very bottom right, that black KV is the EXACT guitar I'm talking about, pickups, finish and all.

Re: HELP! Questions about my Jackson I just bought!
I was just looking at the gallery of Kv's on this site and found a picture of another Jackson KV Pro. It says "RARE cherryburst quilt top Dave Mustaine Pro." Besides that one being Cherry burst and mine being Black, are these guitars really rare??? Gallery of KV's, the bottom one

Re: HELP! Questions about my Jackson I just bought!
If the serial # is J401170 it is DEFINATELY a import, But if it looks like the one in the pic it was a early 90's Import and they were EXCELLENT guitars, probobly worth 650-750...to the Right Buyer..and The Cherry Burst finish was RARE, Black, I think was the most common color due to MEGADETH

Re: HELP! Questions about my Jackson I just bought!
Okay, before I got my Rhoads I was really trying to find a KV Pro Mustaine(now I'm broke). Anyway the Kv Pro Mustaine is Japanese made, excellent guitars just like the early 90's pro series. I wouldn't really say they are rare but they usually fetch a pretty good price. The cheapest I've seen I think was $600US.

Just for future reference, any Jackson that is part of the Professional series is Japanese made. Doesn't matter if it's neck-thru or bolt-on.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

Re: HELP! Questions about my Jackson I just bought!
Thanks alot guys! I knew alot about all the USA selects, but I wasn't sure on the signatures and OOP guitars. I looked up the guitar's worth at a local music store, and I guess it originally was listed at $1695 w/ average used price of 700 to 800! So if I ever end up selling this guitar on ebay or something, I'll be making a profit
