...I'm really upset that my XTRR ordered Nov 94 is nowhere to be seen, yet this was ordered and signed off less than a month ago, and is already half done...

At times I can't work out if the CS photos are a good thing or not - I too have an order in for an XTRR (w/o 1969) which was placed in Feb 2005 and while I've heard it's made it as far as the woodshop, I've had no other progress reports, and had to sit and watch it constantly not appear on their website - I guess it's a beautiful torture!

Well, I placed my XTRR order in Nov 04 (toejam ) WO#1940 and on 11/8 Matt said they were ready to start production. The Demon was ordered 10/20/05 WO#2171 and it's already pictured...

Arrghh - my second order is 2170 and I bet they haven't started that one so fast! I guess your Demon may be being pushed through because of the discrepancies you mentioned above!
My first is w/o 1969 which was ordered 4 months after you placed the order for 1940 so logically thats 29 orders in 4 months - I'm not sure what level of production the CS works at, but to complete the guitars in comparitive timescales with the order period, that's 8 CS guitars a month, and 2 a week doesn't seem that much to me.....

Guys I think that you're all forgetting. This is the Custom shop!!
For each guitar ordered, they plant a new tree of the wood type specific to that guitar. They nurture the tree to maturity and when it has reached it's peak, they chop it down and take only the most SELECT pieces of wood for the construction of that single guitar. The rest of the tree is discarded.
I'm not even gonna go into the electronics or hardware production. All I'm gonna say is that the dwarves working in the Jackson owned iron ore mine are working very hard.

No "extreme demon" is a body shape that I created, Matt also confirmed with Mike Kotzen that the demon was mine, though they royally screwed up on it...

Actually a 2005 initiative was that Customs were built by "Masters" like Shannon and Pablo, but I'm not clear on whether they're still doing USA Selects or if the "other guys" are doing those
IIRC, that is.
You guys are lucky - I got WO #s 2000 and 2006, and they're "only" up to the 1960s?
I guess they weren't impressed enough with the 7-string Bolt-on Warrior or the War Angel ideas
Maybe if they were Dweezilish Green and single-hum Strats instead?

Notice I wasn't talking about the 'Extreme Demon'. I was talking about the quilt top demon with the tiger-like (Anderson) finish.
And how am I supposed to notice that? ...you didn't say anything about any quilt, or the one on the second page, or that you're talking about a different one than the one being discussed
Everyone else in the thread was talking about the extreme... the quilt was already discussed in an earlier thread, so excuse me for assuming that you're talking about something on-topic.

That quilty demon has been up on the CS pages awhile. The new one that was Xeno's was just added on Tuesday or Wednesday. Nice looking guitar, shame they messed up on it. Whats wrong with it though? The body shape not right?
