• I generally favor Charvels...

but this Jackson is absolutely incredible!

it's one of the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen. and I normally don't favor gold hardware. wow.
(it's in the gallery here.)

Dots and RW board totally ruin it for me.

The old school RR prototype style Jackson logo is effing cool! Wish the board was ebony with pearl sharkies!

Yeah, I agree on the ebony / sharkfins thing, but I could quite happily live with it!.....

Very beautiful, if the flames/quilt were lined up better it'd have been even better.

Re: I generally favor Charvels...

It's not a perfectly mirrored top (bookmatched to perfection), so I don't like it. I'm anal that way.

Looking at the area behind the bridge, I think it probably is pretty damn close to 'bookmatched to perfection', but the photo isn't bringing the figuring out as well as it might....

Re: I generally favor Charvels...

i think ebony/fins would ruin that 'bird. it's WAY classier with rosewood and dots. it would look cheap if it wasn't bound. i LOVE that logo too. i'd love to get a USA FB sometime. i have two of the FB2's...one TOM and one floyd and those are really nice so i can't imagine how great a USA 'bird would be.
GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

It looks off like about a couple of mm per 'branch', also it seems both sides are 'inverted' as far as color is concerned, the highlights on one side are the other side's 'background' color. This might be purely due to the photograph, though.

ah, I see, yes, I believe it's the photo that is throwing you off. Quite often, bookmatched bodies look like one side is a "positive" exposure while the other side is a "negative" exposure. Thta's perfectly normal.
