• Some Ghost Flame comparisons

I picked up a new ghost flame guitar last week and thought I would post a few pics of two company's GF graphics. I like them both but the GMP stands out more and is easier to see. I also like the shadow on the GMP flames, but I like the color contrast on the shannon.

The two Vs are both called black GF but are very different from each other.

I think I'm also going to change the hardware on my shannon to black.

One last thing, the shannon looks like a toy compared to the Roxie, that is one big a** guitar..............

The Roxie has actually moved on to another JCF member this week. I took these pics as I was packing up the Roxie and having second thoughts on seling it.

I'm sure he'll share we the time is right...............

The Roxie paint looks the best to my eyes...

I don't get why GMP called those finishes ghost flames? I mean, to me, the definition of ghost flames is that they are transparent - you can see through them. Maybe it's just the pics, but they don't seem transparent at all.

Don't get me wrong, though. Those are absolutely KILLER flame jobs. Just not "ghost"-like.

Oh, and here's one for you...

I love red ghost flames - is that an 'advanced' version?

Yes. Changes specially spec'd by yours truly, inc. it being over a black body, not red.

Another take on the advanced RGF graphic.

The GMP ones look almost Tribal. They are cool, just different.

That GMW really is beautiful How do you like it now, given the 'history' of the guitar?

                            Re: Some Ghost Flame comparisons

The Blue Flame Roxie now lives with me.

It is absolutely gorgeous. And while the flames aren't "see through" per se, they're very intricately layered. There is a hell of a lot of depth to the finish. Stunning, like all GMP finishes.

I'd like to thank Hammer for parting with this one...I know why he was hesitant to see it go.

I'll post additional pics and a new thread about the guitar in the very near future. A guitar this sweet deserves its own thread.
