I believe retailers didn't care for the raw maple boards because they get dirty.

From what I've heard, Jenna will still be the model. The rumors about Brianna Banks are not true.

I tend to agree but it's so small and the .jpg is so compressed that I figured there was an outside chance that the quality was degraded a lot after the scan.

Yup. And EVH would never go for that non-locking nut.

I heard a pretty loose rumour, probably over on Harmony Central, that a new EVH signature model is coming out. And given his recent involvement with Charvel... well, you never know.

Not a rumour, he said it in a radio interview about a month or so ago. Well what he said was that he was busy at the moment trying to finish up a prototype that he had to get to the manufacturer for the NAMM show. He never said who, but Fender/Charvel would probably be a good choice, especially since his relic guitar still hasn't surfaced. Yet is clearly in the works at Charvel.
Come and get one in the yarbles, if you have any yarbles, you yunick jelly thou!

they need a lot effort to regain market. esp is doing great job with marketing and endorsers.

they're whoring themselves out with free axes..

i say, give them axes some maple boards with black sharkies and half of the board will cream its pants, put them in stores and people will buy em cos the axes of their youth are comin back! the old rockers will relive the 80's and for us it will mean gettin a cool maple jacky without buying new necks n'stuff

i was outranged when i saw a pic of a trans green wrmg because my local retailer could only get the trans black one which is a faint trans-black finish. jackson need to retain their line rather than trim it down. i can't even get a wr1 in tobacco sunburst anymore. grrrrrrr... trans green wrmg with black shark inlays and maple board would be nice. i didn't like the projected images shown elsewhere on this site because they have black headstocks.

Re: Any model lineup change in 06?

in these days of affordable set neck guitars from every brand else, jackson has to do something interesting. it's not likely to make very cheap neck thru guitars probably because the guitar has to be handled as a whole piece in the shop quite early in the process.
they need to expand the line of their bolt-on models with all the bells and whistles. it shouldn't be hard since jackson's part of fender for leo's sake
they need maple board, swamp ash body, mahogany maple top body (like iby RGA), locking trem, wilkinson trem...
