The action on the lower frets is pretty damn close to the fingerboard. As i get to the 12th and down to the 24th, the action is a bit higher... very annoying at the least. I just changed strings a week ago, is this normal ? Never realized this till now, had the guitar two months now. Its a Jackson DK2S.

Sounds like you need to shim the neck a bit. You stick a piece of paper in the neck pocket to make the end stick up a little. Pretty easy, but I'd take it to a pro and get a full setup.

Actually, it all depends on what it's acutally doing... The three most common solutions would be:
1) Lower bridge
2) Adjust truss
3) shim neck (if bolt on)
Since he's not complaining about any weird buzzing, then I'd suggest lowering the bridge posts a 1/4 - 1/2 turn.The 2nd Amendment: America's Original Homeland Defense.Comment

Did you change gauge or brand of strings?
Is the trem pulling up in the back? that will creat a higher action too. The baseplate of the trem should be at the same parallel as the body.
Not necassarily even with the top of the body but as in angle of the trem.
Different brand strings have a different tension. If you didnt use the same brand and/or gauge the trem could be pulling up slightly.

I did change the gauge of the strings, went from 10's to 9's. looks like the trem is pulling up a bit, i think...like i said , its only 1 month or so old...
only thing that has changed is the strings...
from the factory sent 10's to the 9's i put on it...Comment

Whenever you change string gauges, you'll need to adjust the bridge springs. As mentioned, the floyd should be even with the body. If the bridge is raised, it will be lifting your strings higher.
