• My First Charvel

Just thought I'd share a pic of myself with my very first Charvel.
I purchased the guitar sometime in 1984 from what was then known as Veneman Music, in Rockville, Maryland.
This pic was taken sometime in 1985.
I sold the guitar just shortly after.
Yeah, I know ... STUPID mistake!

You sold that?! OMFG

Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Yeah ... I know.
It was a situation where I was basically FORCED to sell it, but looking back, it was an extremely stupid thing to do.
It's over 30 years later, and I STILL kick myself in the ass for doing it. Big mistake.

As far as the hair ...
If you were a teenager in 1985, chances are, YOU had this same hairdo too.

The logo was gold.
I was in high school when I had this guitar.
I remember making the truss rod cover myself from a sheet of yellow plastic I had found in shop class. Just a little something that I thought would make it "different". I left everything else totally stock up to the point of when I sold it. Damn, I would LOVE to be able to track down that same guitar today!
