SL2H vs. Dinky

I know Dinky's are slightly smaller, but I put my SL2H next to one of my DK's and the SL's body looks tiny. Isn't it supposed to be a little larger?

SL and Dinky should be the same size body... both are 7/8" the size of a full size Strat.

Yep, as I understood it DK's were just bolt on soloist's.

Interesting... I guess it just looks smaller because the DK's are black, thicker and carved tops.

I was always under the impression DK's are smaller than soloists.

The way you stated that gives one the impression that all DKs or Dinkies have carved tops. I'm just clarifying here, but this is not the case. In the current line-up, only the DKMG has a carved top.

i like the neck shape on the dk but i like the sl2h better with the neckthru. i wish the neckthrus had thinner necks.

My sl2H is a 2001 and the neck is thicker than other soloists I've ever played.
I think that year they tried a different neck profile.
I know someone else who has a 2001 and the neck on his is thicker as well.

If they are alike, why does my soloist not fit in my dinky case. When I look at them I see a difference in the body at the cutouts.
