• Here's what is new for 2006 with Jackson - COOL

Here is what is going to be new for 2006:

All Pro series with the exception of the DX10's are now going to have real duncans (TB4 on most) and upgraded tremolo's.

The MG Series are going to have EMG 81/85's rather than HZ's.

The SL3 with now have a Real Floyd rather than the Jackson Copy.

There is a DK2T String Thru
There is a DK2M Which will have a Maple Fretboard and Black/Ebony Fins.

The DK2FS and all the Flame Fingerboard models were discontinued.

There are a few other color changes, but those are the major ones. There will be a slight price increase but considering the upgrades, they are well worth it.

Now taking orders

Matt, is that imports only? Or is there nothing new for USAs?

And agree with Tekky: I'd be interested to see the new trems.

My hope is that the upgraded tremolos have a straightened baseplate for a cleaner replacement with an OFR or they've brought back the JT590 Schallers.

All very sensible moves considering what the closest competition is doing. Kudos to FMIC (or whoever specs the lineups) for that

It's about time they improved the imports. They are some really good improvements too. Proper EMG's and Original Floyd Roses. Woo hoo

Be careful... Not all models are getting original Floyds, only the SL-3. Everything else is getting an "upgraded" tremolo. (at least that's how I read Matt's post.)

Correct. I also didn't have the exact details on what the new Trems will be.

I've always thought the MG's would be worth more if they had better EMG's and an OFR. The difference is amazing.

Can't wait to see the new ones!

Now if they would sell USA oiled neck-thru MG's with I'd replace every guitar I have them. I suddenly have a craving for oiled necks.

yes, very smart move on fender's part. I am glad fender is taking jackson front and center. better late than never
also, can't wait to see the new trem, between TRS and OFR there's schaller and gotoh, I am cool with either.
