Re: New for 2006 Jackson PDF\'s

Is there any chance they would make the DK2-M with a 22 fret neck? So, the neck pikcup would actually be usable?

I guess not.
Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

Wow those are some nice changes, hopefully the price doesn't come up that much now .
And hopefully we can see some pictures of the real stuff soon as well.

Too bad they don't offer the same colors on WRMG's as they do WRXT's.

And a string-thru option would be badass...

+1. always the way. but then, it only got more restrictive with the previous release of WRMG's. i could only get the WRMG in trans-black (which isn't exactly a distinctive trans-black either).

I love the DK2M, except the 2 humbuckers, I would prefer it with just humbucker, other than that, it is smokin!! Yes, the SL3 should have binding. I also was looking for a 1 Hum 24.75 model, maybe next year!! I hope they kept the thicker neck profile on the 2006 models. Jack.

I am so buying a Trans Red KVX10, putting a DKMG-neck, black hardware and Dimarzios on it... talk about spending money you haven't even earned yet.
I could nitpick a lot of things, but AFAIC this is a great job FMIC did. I hope they come up with some neat new stuff and more additions at Summer NAMM, but so far I REALLY like what they're doing with the product line. Way to go.

Re: New for 2006 Jackson PDF\'s

The Pro series is built in Japan right? Does anyone know what company builds these for Jackson. For all I know it's the same company that builds for ESP or Ibanez.

I'm just curious because these guitars are priced between the LTD 400's and ESP Standard guitars so I'm wondering if they are meant to compete with the LTD's or the ESP's? What would the quality be more comparable to?

hmm. apart from the pickups, i don't see any real improvement on the WRMG. you don't get any rear views of it so i can't see if it now has a decent scalloped heel around the neck join (i doubt it). the colour schemes haven't expanded, and the turbocharger's been lost. oh, and a "low profile bridge" (jt580?). no thanks, i'm happy with what i've got. give it a scalloped heel, a carved top (as previously advertised), a more convincing trans-finish (ahem - tobacco sunburst!!) and an OFR. then i'll consider the upgrade. otherwise, bollocks. well, at least they didn't do a bc rich impression!

This is why I think it would be cool if they built more imports like the RR5, only WR5, KV5, KE5 etc. Neckthru, stringthru, that would be a sick line

Jackson own their own factory, and LTDs are all built in Korea anyway. I don't think any other company uses Jackson's factories but don't take my word on that.
