excuse me for sounding like a cheapskate, but the rrp on a jcc917 warrior case is £200 new in the uk. that's a third of the cost of the WRMG! a standard case is £50 which obviously won't fit. what price would be deemed "reasonable" for a jcc917 case, and where would you go in the uk to get one? i'm moving home april and need to save up for the deposit AND the case.

Re: hardcase prices - justified?
You could try a quality gig-bag for a BC Rich beast? Not sure if that would fit but they're more common. I know a guy that transports his RR5 around in a Beast gig bag. Would a coffin case fit? They're cheaper....
Possibly a stupid idea, but with a bit of work a double rifle case could work...

Re: hardcase prices - justified?
i want the guitar to be flush with the "padding" rather than rattle around inside. besides, i won't touch bc rich cases or gig bags because the uk distributor is as much use as a chocolate fireguard and don't fit their own guitars properly anyway. can't find a jcc917 on ebay from a uk seller.Fuck ebay, fuck paypal

Gig bags are great if all you do is move them from one room to another, but once you leave the house, a hard case cannot be beat.

I only use hardcases, especially considering the climate & humidity changes in the northern midwest.KV DM PRO, SLSXMG, RRXMG, DXMG, LP P90 Goldtop_GSP1101_RM4: JF SL-OD100_Randall RT2/50_Peavey 4x12 cab

You can't blame Jackson or Fender on this one. The Euro is stronger than the dollar. It's YOUR government that is putting the financial burden on you.The 2nd Amendment: America's Original Homeland Defense.

Yeah, the cost of american stuff gets jacked up so much when it enters the EU it´s ridiculous. Sweden´s biggest music chain sells plain-jane SL1´s for exactly $3092 (I looked up the exchange-rate for today) and they can´t be found significantly cheaper.

Re: hardcase prices - justified?
who says i was blaming jackson/fender? i KNOW the uk government are cockroaches. that was why i ranted.
i'm moving home so it will definitely be a hard case that i want.
the last bc rich ironbird case i had involved the ironbird's headstock stabbing the top. the guitar was shipped inside the case by a mail order shop. when they arrived, the headstock was chipped.
i just need to find out how much space is available in the jackson multi-fit case so that the bcr experience is not repeated.
i won't touch a gator extreme case again. it weighed a ton and the pads never stayed stuck down. the guitar still rattled about inside. £80 for a piece of shit.
thanks to the other guy for the link for the multi-fit case. i will investigate.Fuck ebay, fuck paypal

Re: hardcase prices - justified?
I had a close call tonight. A friend has a japanese dinky body, reverse neck. I was telling him that I bid on a case for a DK2 and it ought to fit fine. We tried fitting it in his guitars case(not a 3dr but a rev dinky body) no go!
Do model 3DR charvels require a specific case? I would need two cases, the second one I scored also is coming in a gig bag/box.

anything "non-standard" or "non-traditional" always requires checking out first. the annoying bit is when its not possible to test prior to purchase. this is why i always buy brand new and get the retailer to agree to get me the right alternative or refund if the order was completed due to misleading information.Fuck ebay, fuck paypal
