Re: 2003 - Ideas/thoughts ->
Hey McD....here is my ideas: 1: Graphics form the old school days from the pro's we grew up admiring ( DeMartini, Phil Collen, Ojeida, etc). Fender letting Charvel using the strat HS is out of the question ,but, it would be a hot bed of guitars being sold if they did. The forum members are the biggest fans of these types of guitars. 2: More white guitars would be nice....black is overkilled anymore. 3: A D-tune on OFR would be cool.....but, not on all of them. 4: Agreed with fixed bridges/string through comment. Trems are great , but, lack flexibility in alternative tunings and dependability of staying in tune if a string breaks. I dont want to buy a bunch of gizmos like a " TremSetter" or block all my floyds to prevent this. Next, offer wider necks for guys with big hands and/or baritone guitars. I have big hands and Jackon's widest neck is only 1 11/16"...too small for me..I like 1 3/4 and bigger necks.....which brings me to number 5: I dont buy J/Cs anymore because of the small neck reason. Not everyone has small womanly hands and fingers that plays guitar. I could go Custom Shop....but, minimum $2500 order and a 1 year wait....or I go to Warmoth and get what I want in a few weeks for a lot less money ( around $700).-Lou
