My new charvel! Is it really a charvel?

Just bought a guitar which I am hoping is an actual Charvel

I have been told it is from around 1995, is natural with SSH config, it has no neck plate, just four ferrule type bolts, it is not an original floyd and the serial number starts with C108***

I am guessing it is from some part of Asia.

Also if anyone knows these guitars can you tell me what the pickups are? My friends say the humbucker sounds just like a Seymour Duncan JB.

looks like one of the "new" import charvels that were just discontiued a year or so ago. what were they called? like model A and stuff like that. i could be wrong though. i love the headstock!!

what's the bridge? and does it say made in the usa under charvel?

the neck bolts are weird; it shoulda had a plate on it. from the pic, i can't tell if it's one of the US SD reissue models, or one of the early 2000s import models. if it's one of the imports that were released a few years ago, i believe they came with duncans in them.

Bridge looks to be a JT580LP.

I am too, but like Sully said, it should have a neckplate.

It's possible that someone may have just removed it and counter-sunk the bolts for a smoother heel.

Not a Jackson/Charvel body.
Vol/Tone knobs and 5 way are in the wrong location.
The trem on a Model A was a JT-580

I noticed the switch-placement too. I thought maybe a Fernandes Revolver body, but the switch is even too far up for that too.

Whatever it is (and I think it IS a Charvel), it looks like a really nice guitar. Dependant upon the price you paid, I wouldn't complain about having that in my stable.

The 5 way placement is similar to Tom Anderson and/or Ibanez.
I also recall the Fusion body had the selector in the same location.

Actually, I've got a black body that looks just like that with the same knob placement. I found it on ebay, asked about it here, and Jim Shine said it was his friend's and it was indeed a Jackson body. I thought it was originally some kind of Ibanez since they usually have the knob placement like that, but I dug out an old MF catalog from around '97 and saw two exclusive MF Dinky Reverse models with that layout.
