I'd like one where threads don't get deleted for no apparent reason.

[/ QUOTE ]

You make an assumption it is for no apparent reason .. there's always a reason ..BTW they don't get deleted..they are in s holding area ..

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't say there wasn't a reason. I just said it was not apparent. The reason is clearly known to whoever deleted it.

[/ QUOTE ]

So you're saying you should be privy to absolutely everything that happens on this board? Why you?

[/ QUOTE ]

I never said that. Don't be so dramatic Todd.

However, I would like to know why threads that I start get deleted. Is that so unreasonable?

Besides, who cares if the whole world knows? If it's for some form of forbidden conduct I would think it would be good for all to see what is not acceptable because lots of stuff gets yanked that is not in any obvious violation of the rules.

It's a board where there is no gay internet fighting and post artificial accelaration.
<...>
A board where racial tolerance, religous beliefs, sexual or gender orientation, and even politics can be discussed freely without fear of ridicule or a backlash of arrogance..

[/ QUOTE ]

So is "gay internet fighting" an acceptable term to all of those with a non-heterosexual sexual orientation nowadays?

edit...nevermind, I re-read your post and found that we don't actually need to be tolerant as long as we discuss it in a gentlemanly manner.

I love this place, I don't have a very high post count, but I've been a member for awhile. I do more reading than posting. I've probably read every post here. Anywho, I've had some of the mods reprimand me for stuff that I really didn't understand at the time, but that's cool, I don't run anything here. All in all, this is the best forum I belong
to, and that's probably a dozen or more. Keep up the good work guys, you rock.

its a great place I too hate see noobs and/or uninformed get jumped on so quickly.

I also think if the search thiny actually worked it would eliminate redundant threads

It wouldnt be unreasonable to leave the thread name, lock it and have a message there instead stating the reason for the thread being put into a holding cell.It doesnt need to be so cloak and dagger and its out in the open as to why it happened.

Makes sense to me........

This place is the best, imho. Yeah, we all have our faults, but something must be right. Look at all the old timers we still have. Yeah, some are gone, but I think we all stuck around because of the bond formed between the members and the instruments we love.

>>>no offense but this is about to deteriorate in exactly what the point of the post was .. This was more or less because I saw some issues over a newbie posting and some giving him shit and others defending him. I just want people to think before thing go sour ...no more no less

Not for nuttin' Kevin, but did you honestly expect to air your dirty laundry to all the members without anyone calling into question your expectation of a utopian-like board?

Seriously though, I think this forum is handled very well (especially when you compare it to others), but is it ever going to be perfect? No, not as long as the members and admins are human.

You do realize that to interface the noose with profile hijacker 2.0.1, you'll need the optional nut module 3.0.
I heard it's going to be expensive and hard to load.
