I also think it only matters if the noob selling something of little interest. What were the problems? I never once heard of a real problem. I know folks were annoyed by newbie's just coming to pimp their wares and leaving but nobody was harmed that I am aware of.

then you haven't been around long enough .. there were issues ranging from people getting ripped off and expecting us to help to people coming in just to use the classifieds and never once contributing to the site..

Why should you compete with someone who signs on just to watch the classifieds ... then there was the occassional dealer spams etc

If we knew what the problem was, we would have addressed it already. With either one of the conversions or server issues, something got corrupted. It's possible you may have to wait for a board upgrade for it to be fixed.

That's not what I meant. This board is not google or search engine searchable - i.e. I cannot search thread contents or topics with a search engine. This is a closed board, and forums and threads are not searchable.

Realistically, even with the totals from the old site, we'd be hard pressed to break the top 1000. *shrug* Not that it matters to me.

I'd almost have to say there are only a couple hundred (at best) active members. And probably 50-75 chronics in any given time period. Many join just to peruse a bit and leave, or just lurk.

I run a pitbull dog board that used to be insane with idiots (pitbull owners are as tenacious and like to fight as much as their dogs!). Made this place look like a paradise. But, I started using the Banyerass 1.02 software and it seemed to work well. All is fine now with around 1000 tentative members.
