I've never known the reason for these,but why was the KV-1 disscontinued? Im only 16 so i don't know much about the history of most of the guitars jackson has produced.

Probably because the KV-2 is being produced, which is basically the same thing. -

They were running out of the Kahler bridges used on the KV1 and KE1. For a while, they would still build custom shop versions if the customer would supply their own bridge.
There was a rumor circulating recently, that FMIC had come across a bunch of the old Kahlers, but I've never seen any confirmation of that.Comment

I got a hint from Kahler directly that there would be no shortage as of this spring. Weather that means they will be producing it or they found a palate of old stock remains to be seen. God, I hope they bring that back....Comment
