Do you think that this guitar is quality one?

& It's good for play old school Hair Metal like Ratt, Dokken, Scorpions & Yngwie Malmsteen?

Very nice guitar. New ones (2006) will have a new trem ... not sure if it's the JT500 or if it's something else, but it's definitely no longer the JT580LP. I don't know if that's good or bad. Some people don't like the EMG-HZs, but I think they're nice.

        Re: Jackson DXMG

He's talking about the DXMG, which is keeping the HZs and getting the equivalent of a JT500. Its the DKMG that gets the new trem and pickups.

So my advice to the OP is: wait and get a new DKMG. The DXMG is now the bargain version.

It should do Ratt pretty good, maybe some Scorps, and definitely Dokken....but to play yingyang you'll have to scallop the fretboard.

                Re: Jackson DXMG

i used to own a dxmg, and despite having hi-z pickups, i personally thought the guitar had a nice mid-range to it. fantastically balanced, scalloped neck heel, shark inlays, reversed headstock, fits in most standard cases, black hardware. i had no problems with the jt580 and it stayed in tune for long periods. my only complaint was the restrictive colour schemes - black or gun metal grey only. i needed a better fx unit at the time, being the only reason i traded the guitar back, other than that i had also got myself a wrmg and didn't want two guitars with identical pickups.

i LOVE my DXMG. got a killer deal from Lloyd @ GX. My friend played mine for an hour, and bought one from Matt @ OSG.

                    Re: Jackson DXMG

I bought a DX a couple years ago and I do prefer DK over it.

I have 3 DKMG's and love them! Of course I switched the bridge and pickups out for an OFR and EMG 81 and 85.

I am anxious to see which bridge they are putting on the new ones. Too bad they won't put the OFR on there because it's a perfect match for it.

the neck profile on the DXMG is fantastic too. It's still on my shortlist for my next guitar.

That would cut into DK1 sales.

                            No, the DK1 has EMG81/85

The sustainer is in the older DK2S and in the PC1.

I like the my DXMG. PLay great sounded pretty good w/ the HZ in it. Now has EMG 81/89 combo, sounds better. Only thing I dont like is mine has the JT500 trem. One day I will put an OFR or Schaller Floyd on it.
