Well, not from scratch! Assembled and wired up by me from various parts. Had to shave a millimeter or two off the neck heel to get it to fit on that body!

Yeah I agree! With these two, I get the best of both worlds. Great humbucking sound, with some nice tele twang in the neck!

Those are badass my friend. I love the pointies but I like the classics too. Tele's never go out of style. And the pointy headstock is enough to keep it looking modern enough.

                        Thanks man!

Here's a major twist on the tele. The only Jackson parts on this guitar is the Jackson/Schaller Floyd, so that ought to count for something!

1/2" thick maple top over ash with natural wood binding, WD Music birdseye maple neck with ebony board, and Seymour Duncan EVH '78 humbucker. Have a DiMarzio pro-track ready to install in the neck once I get around to it. This is one of my best playing and sounding hybrids. I love it.

I love that Iommi pickup. It a hybrid pickup with Alnico and Ceramic pickups. It's tight, focused and not a hint of mud to be found. Chords really come shining thru with great individual note definition. Great great tone. would love to try another one in a different guitar to see how it reacts with different woods.

The Iommi has two types of magnets? Interesting. I wonder if its an Alnico IV with the ceramic. The Alnico IV is so underated IMO. I have a custom made Alnico IV that I just got from Manlius pickups. He originally made me an Alnico V for my 750xl and its killer but the IV is just insane. Extremely tight with lots of bottom end. One of the hottest and most responsive pickups I've ever played on. Originally he was going to use a ceramic but in testing thought it was too bright and loose and switched it to an Alnico IV. What a wise choice.

hmm, sounds cool! The Iommi uses an Alnico II along with Ceramic according to the gibson site.

i like the purple one, not to crazy about the color though, but that is a lot like what i wanna do with my squier tele, rout it out and paint it up like a confederate flag. im glad to see someon eelse shares my taste, the people on another forum thought i was crazy.
