That's the only difference? I thought it had a new bridge instead of that cheapie one they've been using?

What exactly was upgraded on the trem? I originally heard they were going to have real Floyd Rose trems on them, but clearly that isn't the case. Back in the day, they used the Schaller trems and those were fantastic. Then they went to the current model which is, shall we say, less than fantastic. I'm anxious to see how they've improved it.

Both models have the upgraded trem for 2006 though.Originally posted by RaVenCADWhat exactly was upgraded on the trem? So if you like the body but not the maple neck (I agree, by the way, although I'm definitely in the minority here), and can stand a HSS pup config, get a DK2. Both have the new trem.

And hell, its the stock trem on the DK2M too, so at the very least you'd be getting the DK2M body and bridge, but with Rosewood fingerboard and HSS config.
Actually, if you plan to replace the bridge, take a look at the DXMG. Its got the same Dinky body, but with Rosewood and reverse headstock. Only con is the JT500 bridge, but if you replace that with a JT590, you'll have everything you wanted!

I think it was in one of the 2006 NAMM threads that I saw that about the DXMG's trem?
