• Greetings! (introduction + a couple questions)

Hello everyone! This is my first post on JCF. I have been lurking around for quite a while before signing up though.
My name's Adam, 17 years old from Massachusetts. I started playing guitar when I was 14. I've been taking lessons too. My teacher won last year's guitarmageddon so he must be pretty good! I hope I'm as good one day. I mostly focus on heavy metal lead guitar but I play some blues and classical for fun too.

Anyway, on to my questions...
I bought a WRMG last summer after falling in love with a DKMG but wanting a more extreme shape. Now I want to install active EMGs. Will the battery that's powering the Turbocharger also power both pickups? Also does anyone know what size strings come on this guitar since I'll replace them when I change the pickups?

Thanks a lot for any help!

Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes! ~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yes, the battery will power both pickups. I don't know for a fact, but I'm pretty sure nearly all Jacksons (especially imports) ship with 0.009-0.042 gauge strings.

I'm in southeastern Mass. About halfway between Boston and Providence.

Thanks a lot Jimmy. That's good because those are the size of the strings I already bought.

Welcome aboard!

Some Jacksons do ship with 10-46, but rarely.
