I never played a guitar with a Kahler....I've always been a Floyd Rose guy.

But as far as them sucking tone.......Jerry Cantrell always used that Kahler equipped G&L live......& his live tone was HUGE.

True dat, I saw AIC a couple weeks back, and Jerry's tone kicked ass using those G&L's w Kahler.

Ball-bearing sucks the attack. It's more noticeable by a player rather than a listener, but it pisses me off

All the old Megadeth records, and all of the Slayer records had Kahlers too...

Funny thing that this is up again. Anyway, I like kalhers, but there are enough orginal 80s charvies and jacksons out there that have 'em, so there is no need to make new ones! LOL!

I hate having to perform maintenance.... Floyds are just so much easier to maintain, stay in tune better and parts are readily available... Kahlers do function well, I just don't like the feel of them when I'm picking... I like the way a Floyd or rather a Floyd Rose II feels when I'm palm muting and just playing.

Me I LOVE the way Kahler feels, sounds, looks, and mostly play! The bar is nicely hidden behind my hand, unlike Floyds! Never had a problem with my Kahlered axes going outta tune!
