  • Help identifying a couple of Jacksons?

I'm looking a few guitars online, and I can't identify either of these Jacksons.

I'm particularly interested in the neck dimensions, can anybody here assist?

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...px?id=58773816 - The owner doesn't know what it is.... looks rather nice to me.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...px?id=58150009 - Supposedly a DRX, discontinued model. Is it just an old model Dinky with a reverse headstock?

    Thanks in advance dudes.

that first one looks like an ATX. It's a Professional series guitar from the late 90s/early 00s (can't remember for sure), Made in Japan. They retailed for about AU$1695 when they were new. Not available in the US, afaik. I've seen them in trans green, trans blue, trans red (kinda pinky/purply in shade), although the trans colours were very dark until you got 'em under bright light (like a camera flash or sunlight). Real maple under that trans finish too. Not sure if they came in solid colours, but they very well may have.

    Here's an old review: http://www.australianmusician.com.au...ckson_atx.html

the second looks like a PS4. Performer series guitar. Some made in Japan, some in Korea. The serial on this one indicates it was MIJ. Not as nice as the ATX. Not a bad guitar by any means, but the Performers were a rung down the food chain from the Pro series.

The first guitar looks like the better value.
    Hail yesterday

Thanks for that, I think I will try and win that ATX. Though I did meet an awesome guitarist who wants to jam with me when I went to check out a *gasp* Ibanez RG1570 Prestige (which was a pretty damn sweet axe!)

Uh, unless the word "jam" has a different meaning over there, heh heh
