Got the catalog yesterday from Robotechnology (thanks, Ivan).

The only import signature models are the Mark Morton and Christian Olde Wolbers 6- and 7-string Dinky. No more Kevin Bond Rhoads, or was it just accidentally ommitted??

I didn't get the sense that the guitar is discontinued. Just not in the catalog this time around. Kevin Bond was at the clinic signing autographs. John Walker can state for certain about the status of the guitar but I believe they are still making them.

Michael Schenker: Gibson V and Dean V both half black, half white. Both were simultaneously endorsed although I think he is with Dean exclusively now, but Gibson still sells the 2 tone Schenker V as their own model or something.

not quite right. I'm a longtime Schenker fan, here's the deal...

first, Gibson never made a Michael Schenker V (w/ the black/white design). Gibson never gave MS any deal. he never was an official Gibson endorser, crazy as that sounds. and crazy it is, because they thought he was too crazy to represent the company. that's just how it played out. probably 10's of thousands of V's were sold because of Schenker and he never got any of that. now they are making an Epiphone "Schenker design" V but that is a poor substitute for a real Gibby V. MS has moved on to Dean now, he never was with both guitar companies at the same time. Dean offered him a deal when he really needed the support. Gibson never did. he took the Dean deal. end of story.

as a lifelong Gibson V fan, asthetically I don't like the Dean models. I'm glad they make them for him, and that people enjoy them, it's all good, but they aren't to my taste, esp the headstock.

Actually there is a pic of one, the small artist pic (by Dirt Jr) at the top of page 7. Interestingly, that is in the USA Select section. Conspiracy nuts: discuss the possibilities!

I agree now, the more I see the MM1 the less I like it as it has way to many bells and wistles than I need. Also, add to that isn`t a USA model, it is a Pro model. While that is fine for some, I kinda feel this one should be a USA model. Jack.

I believe just Mark`s is the MM1 and yes his is a USA models, but the one above in a Pro model. I think I am passing on this one. Jack.

And it's funky putting 59s on a metal axe like this... I wouldn't mind trying one out when they arrive in the UK in 10 years (Wolbers and Bonds aren't here yet)
