  • Low or High Impedance PUPS?

Are the old Jackson J-200's, J-50BC's, J-85's, J-90's, and J-95's low impedance or high impedance? Are the PUP's themselves active pups or is it just the tone circuits that are active (e.g., the JE-1000 and JE-1200 circuits)?

    Thanks,
    Rick

No Jackson pickup was ever active. But many were indeed connected to active circuits as you mentioned. This is why you can easily install any active pickup with any Jackson circuit.

so to answer the question. The Jackson pups are passive and high impedance. Active are Low impedance. as opposed to impotence
      but thats for another thread.
