      I like them both, maybe ESP just a bit more b/c of some of their sig models.

      I do like having a USA made guitar, my ESPs don't give me that pride that my jackson does.

          i have played many of both and all yatayata yata... and IMO jackson does better customshop work, esp has better standard production models. that is jst my opinion.

            I like both, but ESP has more to offer in my opinion, plus they have a billion signature models to choose from, whereas i only see the Mark Morton and Phil Collen models being made by jackson

              Is "offering more" having a wider variety of guitars or having more signature models?

                At least Jackson has the integrity to not come out with a hideous monstrosity of a "guitar" made of plastic shaped like a devil girl, or to carve a big "x" through the body of their guitars to try and market them to goth kids or whatever the fuck ESP was thinking.

                  Signature models are a joke!! If your gonna buy a guitar based on who plays them, then you've already been brainwashed!!

                    mabey wou really like someones sound, so much that you get their gear. it would be easier than getting a custom replica. that or your a fanboy. both are fine answers

                      yes.

                      VARIETY = OFFERING MORE
                      I.E MORE TO CHOOSE FROM

                      more shapes, more signatures. How can that not be offering more?

                          Wow, this thread just won't die! Both ESP and Jackson can make you a fantastic guitar, it's just a question of personal preference. I don't see any need for a bunch of "my dad is better than your dad" stuff...

                            I don't see all signature models being equal. It's a marketing bandwagon in some cases. An Eric Johnson, Malmsteen, or Buddy Guy Strat is cool. A Good Charlotte PRS with a funny bat on the 12th fret is NOT! I can see the value in a Hetfield, Hammet, or Hannemann ESP. But doesn't ESP also make a Kittie sig model? WTF?? I saw an ad a while back for a company also offering the Alien Ant Farm guitarist's model. Gimme a friggin' break! Sig. models should be based on quality of players and construction. IMO Jackson and Charvel should stick to only offering a few, proud models.
