  • General warranty question...

I'm curious. It's my understanding that the manufacturer's warranty only applies to the original owner of the guitar. But what about a situation where somone buys a guitar for someone else as a gift? Technically the gift giver is the original owner, but really, its the receiver.

Is there a registration process on new Jacksons that would determine the original owner for warranty purposes?

He who has the original sales receipt and warranty card is the "original owner".
Purchaser and owner do not have to be the same person.

Cool. Maybe I should fill the warranty card out on my '88 Model 6?

Got the original receipt? If so, I'd love to see the look on their face when you file a claim.
