I never have the covers on my stage guitars...
I often play a club that has forty 500 and 1000 watt par cans about 5ft over your head... It's like a being under a large 50,000 watt heater...
The dressing room where we tune up before shows is always freezing in the winter like at least 55 or so degrees or cold in the summer from the AC (the only room in the club that actually gets cool).
Going from there or a 60 degree practice spot to a 110+ degree stage throws skinny necked guitars so far out that you often have to adjust the springs a touch because the tuners can't compensate enough.
Hence, no covers!!!
