I was playing the 'Aft in Brewster when I was 16 for money. My uncle was one of the two owners. I played with a number of bands and yup- we played Gemini II in Yorktown as well as Hammerheads, LaMours, Soap Factory, Fountain Casino in NJ.....David's in Manchester, ahhhh, the good ol' days...
One of my bands was manged by Johnny Debuke at Atlantis agency in New Haven.
Another band I played with had the guitarist on the Dimarzio catalog cover (I played keys with them- lots of Tull & Zep).
Another band had this huge lead singer - Sean- who I went to H.S with- we cut a vinyl 45 record in NYC in 1972 - he played trumpet, I played drums.

I could tell you guys lots of groupie storys too..... :ROTF: :ROTF:

I was surprised when you casually say that you switched between the EVH and an Ibanez 7-string, expecting it to be a RG7420 or 7620, and it's a freakin' Universe Multicolor! That's the top of the Ibanez 7-string heap, and they have really picked up in price in the last couple years. That's about 5K in two guitars you've got there. You don't mess around when it comes to guitars -lol.

Btw - what kind of music does your band play? Just curious because the way you're dressed makes me guess a blues/classic rock band, but then you have these crazy looking guitars
All Classic Rock 60's-80's only. We're a little on the "heavy" side and alot of the older stuff we've revamped to be much heavier.
You can check out the site- www.thekeystoneband.com and check out some tunes and pics.
I'm a guitar nut. The EVH lists for $3600 and IF you can find a UV77MC they are going for $4500-$5000 these days. On the site you can see my baby- a '60 Custom Shop Strat in Shell Pink. Nothing touches that guitar.

The EVH is a surprisingly good live guitar, I was a bit underwhelmed by the pickup until I used it with the band at volume, more versatility than you would expect as the pickup has good string to string definition and cleans up well as you turn it down. Definitey a different beast than a typical Charvel.

Looks like you had fun! I wish my band had any aspirations....and that I lived near any sort of city :P

In one capacity or another I've played or recorded with the following:

              Sapphire
              Playboy
              Sims Brothers
              Free Flight
              Destiny

Plus I sat in with or rehearsed with:

Rat Race Choir- in White Plains, NY Fore & Aft
              Cryer -David's in Manchester, CT
D.C.Star -Fountain Casino in Aberdeen, NJ
Harliquin-Gemini II in Yorktown Heights, NY
Joe Savage- Fore & Aft in Brewster, NY

Great memories with those guys- while playing and also partying.

              Recognize any of these bands?
