I think that Jeff Beck has shown that you can play the blues on a Jackson.
He recorded the song "People Get Ready" with a pointy, kahlered Jackson
and a Rockman. Even though his lines are drenched in 80's chorus, they sound
really soulful and bluesy to me.
I have an early Dean V that is one of the best sounding and playing guitars
ever made. When my blues snob buddy picks it up, he can't put it down.
It crushes his Les Paul whether playing clean or dirty blues. He just can't understand how such a "goofy looking guitar" can sound so good.
