I like the V's a lot! I think they are easier to solo on!! But SL's I think are faster to riff on! That's just my opinion!

In terms of sales, Soloist / Dinky blows them all away. IMHO, that pretty much answers your preferences question.

I'm torn between Rhoads and King V shape for first position, but actually own mostly superstrats, out of which I like my archtop Soloist the best (that shape gets second place).

i prefer soloist/strat shape-based: balance and weight, no "special" case required. usually tends to have more colour schemes/finishes than other shape guitars (import range anyway).
