He's just the greatest basketballer to come out of this country. Although Andrew Bogut is only just starting his career.
Gaze played for the Melbourne Tigers, lead Seton Hall to an NCAA title, played a bit of NBA ball (although he was a 33 year old rookie) and was able to score 30 points in any competition on the planet, as he demonstrated repeatedly at many World Championships & about 4 Olympic Games. Unfortunately his best days were past him and he only got limited minutes by the time he took a shot at the NBA. But he could still light it up.
Not a great athlete, but an excellent basketballer. And from all accounts, a really nice guy.
His dancing sucks, but he makes up for it with enthusiasm and he seems to be a sentimental favourite.
