        There are a number of different Charvel Rhoads. There was a dual-hum Charvel guitar-logo Rhoads made as well, but that was Japanese-market only as well.

        The standard import for the American market was the Avenger, pictured above.

                    ok so, i can confirm its exactly as the catalogue scan, you guys are right its an avenger, ferrari red.. any idea what wood it is? also it needs a trem bar, one of those screw-collar types.

                              Sorry for the hijack, but when and why did Charvel stop the Avengers with the 2 single coil pickups in the bridge for a full sized slanted rail humbucker in the bridge (J-85?)? What year was it 1991?

                              Was it a similar situation like the earlier Model 5A's that came back that were unsold from dealers and routed for a slanted single coil neck pickup and re-sold as a 5FX. Was this why you see Avengers with a 2 single coil bridge pickup as well as a less seen but still not rare slanted railed humbucker.
