    From the '90-'91 Catalogue:

No record of them after 1991 (as with other Toothpastes).

So I am assuming the slanted rails pickup in the bridge on later Avengers were an afterthought by Charvel to get more sales? I don't expect they sold too many of the double singles on the Avenger or the 275 Deluxe (and come to think of it, I've seen 275's also with the slanted rails pickup as well).

Does anyone know the story of how those double single coils evolved into a slanted rails pickup?
